Fox News reports that Illinois state troopers are cracking down on texting while driving and distracted driving. And instead of targeting big rigs, troopers are using them!
Normally you wouldn’t see cops and professional drivers working together like this. It’s the height of the rig which gives Illinois troopers a terrific raised vantage point to spot out drivers who are texting or otherwise distracted. Once they’re spotted, troopers radio ahead to a waiting police vehicle to pull the offender over.
