CSA- Compliance, Safety, Accountability

J.E.B. Insurance Services, LLC truly believes that we are in a partnership with our clients.  Our agency philosophy is to keep our commercial truck clients informed on the latest industry news so they can concentrate on driving safely and having a successful business.

A Commercial trucker that has their own authority needs to stay up to date on all the changes that will affect their bottom line insurance premium. One of the relative new ways to evaluate your company would be to review your CSA – Compliance, Safety, and Accountability Measurements. It is extremely important to make sure you have completed your paperwork correctly in regards to number of units, drivers and commodities hauled.

Beginning 1/1/12 the Department of Transportation has requested all motor carriers update their MCS-150 with the correct Miles Traveled and Power Unit Data. This information is used to calculate your Unsafe Driving and Crash indicator Behavior Analysis and Safety Improvement Category percentiles. Most insurance companies review all this information online when rating your truck insurance premium.

Visit https://li-public.fmcsa.dot.gov/LIVIEW/PKG_REGISTRATION.prc_option to update your MCS-150 information.  If you would like to stay informed on all the news and information about the CSA – compliance, Safety and Accountability register online at https://csa.fmcsa.dot.gov/.
