In October 2019, the Chattanooga Times Free Press published an interview with long-time Tennessee trucker Tim Chelette. Per the Times Free Press, he was “named to America’s Road Team, a group of 18 national ambassadors of the American Trucking Association that represent the trucking industry to motorists, lawmakers and the media” recently, and he sure has earned the title!

TN Trucker Talks Focus on Safety on the Road

Chelette has logged roughly 2 million accident-free miles in big rigs! That’s a lot of driving, and the staff at J.E.B. Insurance Services, LLC salutes him for it! As a member of America’s Road Team, part of Chelette’s duty is hosting safety talks, with a goal of highway safety in mind. He made these key safety points about trucking in “The Volunteer State”:

• Nashville, Knoxville, and lately Chattanooga — are known for truck-traffic congestion.
• Monteagle Mountain, with its steep grade, is notorious among professional drivers nationwide.
• In Chattanooga, it’s the Missionary Ridge “cut” that truckers struggle with, because it’s so difficult to keep the momentum up the ridge when you’re loaded.
