The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has unveiled a newly updated version of its National Consumer Complaint Database (NCCDB) — giving drivers, carriers, and consumers a stronger tool to report bad brokers, fraud, and safety violations.
This long-awaited update addresses industry concerns about the old system’s limited functionality and brings much-needed improvements in user experience, enforcement transparency, and complaint tracking.

The modernized NCCDB now offers nine complaint categories, compared to the previous five.
One of the most significant changes is the dedicated category for freight broker complaints, which allows users to more clearly report:

- Abuse or misconduct in freight transactions
